CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS
Work out your short-term or long-term capital gains tax on equity, mutual funds, property, gold or unlisted shares — using post-Budget 2024 rates and holding-period rules. No password, and nothing you enter ever leaves your browser.
This tool is free to use. We just ask for a few contact details first, so our team can follow up if you'd like help planning or filing around a capital gain. No transaction or financial data is ever sent to us — only the contact details below, and only if you choose to submit them.
Not modelled: surcharge (applies above ₹50 lakh of total income; capped at 15% on most capital gains), the 31 Jan 2018 grandfathering for equity bought before 1 Feb 2018, stamp-duty value under Sections 50C/43CA, and set-off/carry-forward of capital losses. The 20%-with-indexation option for property is available only to resident individuals/HUFs. Gold ETFs and other listed securities may follow a 12-month holding test — this tool applies 24 months to the “Other” category, so please verify before relying on it for those. Transfers from 1 April 2026 fall under the Income-tax Act, 2025; the rates here are those of FY 2025-26.
Download a shareable image of your result — nice for WhatsApp-ing to a friend or sharing on LinkedIn. No data is uploaded; the image is drawn entirely in your browser.
A general list — nothing here is saved or sent anywhere.
Send us your purchase and sale details on WhatsApp and we will check the gain, the exemption options and the tax with you before you file.
